paisley,continued...

The stained glass painting effect is fun and beautiful. Leave that stained glass colours which is often (or can say always) used while painting a glass, but now do it with oil or enamel colours which are used on doors etc., yeah the doors can wait to be painted later. First do the outlines with enamel paint in black or any dark colour, leave it to dry completely ---it can take a few hours, then turn the glass so that the outlined side is facing downwards and then fill the whole glass with the colours of your choice and avoid mixing the wet colours, leave it to dry completely once again---overnight, preferably...I like it painting this way so that the outlined part is facing me and the total effect is well a 3d one!!! Do it and see it for yourself. The “ students oil colours “ used on canvasses can also be used while filling, but it takes a few days to dry a single layer! It is a slow process but a different as well as a beautiful experience. I've used this pattern as a yoke on one of my dresses. I embroidered it, but doing it on glass was wonderful. As a solo performer...

A panel with leaves on the side borders...

A single border...and sometimes doubled, too...
