swirls,spirals and curls

This month is full of swirly patterns. Full of dotted, flowered, striped, '' only for kids '' , some classical touches of Indian paintings and embroidery patterns , some especially for prints --- for gift-wraps as well as for wall papers, some modern and contemporary ones for stencilling and screening---- use anywhere, and in whichever technique,  I'm sure they all will look good and soothing this Summer. Enjoy in a swirly and curly way...

Indian lotus and paisley patterns go together with some leaf motif... a very common and beautiful piece you'll find in old master pieces. Just giving it a revisit and a modern touch, too , for using it in modern day--- in stationery things, or as a framed wall piece, etc., the choices are many...

...as a print for fabric and paper, combined with dots and stripes...

...some soft curls with broken lines, if doing embroidery, you can do filling stitch ( satin stitch ) on the drop-shapes, and outline stitch on the curves, and running stitch in the inner part of the curls, ( as shown ).

...using a rectangle-shaped swirl in various colours...

...a very delicate pattern with lots of line work ... soft colours, soothing design and the total look will suit best in fabric and dress material. Using triangles as the main theme, and filling the whole space with broken lines, dots, and wavy lines in soft and cool colours, keeping in mind the Summer heat !

...see ya.
